On Tuesday 5th September the first Partnering with Parents: Ensuring a Catholic Education and Environment within the Home conference will take place at 7.30pm at Corpus Christi Church. The conferences will be led by Fr Stephens and run for 45 minutes followed by a ‘Chat over Cheese and a Whine over Wine’. There will be two (different) conferences each term and it is expected that all parents/carers attend at least one conference per term. For further information please contact the College.

As you are aware the College prioritises the safety of children and young people in accordance with the teachings of Our Lord and the 11 Child Safe Standards. These standards ensure that leaders, staff, volunteers, members and children within the College champion and model a child safe culture. Thank you for the way in which you express your support for keeping our children safe, take action when they have concerns about children’s safety and prioritise the safety of children as part of everyday practice.

Congratulations to the students who completed the Australian Mathematics Competition (AMC) on Thursday 3rd August. The AMC is one of Australia’s largest school-based mathematics competitions. It features unique problems designed by Australia’s leading educators and academics, with the goal to demonstrate the importance and relevance of mathematics in students’ everyday lives.

Thank you to Mr Van Strilp and Miss Whitlock for coordinating the engaging 30 problem competition, which was open to students in years 3 to 12.

Thank you to the staff, parents and students who attended the 2023 VCE Subject Selection evening on Thursday 3rd August. A reminder that your subject selections should be entered as soon as possible. If you are experiencing any difficulty or have any questions relating to either a subject or the process, please don’t hesitate to contact the College. A link has been provided via email by Mr Willams.

During the week I had the opportunity to meet with Ms Monica Murnane and discuss the upcoming Parents and Friends Dinner Auction. The Dinner Auction will be held on the 18th November at the Pakenham Racecourse. The success of the auction relies greatly on the donations of the College and wider community. Please support this evening by either donating or sourcing an auction item that can be left at the College Administration Desk.

On Thursday 10th August we will hold our first Community Engagement Session for the term. I look forward to seeing many of you there as we present the first phase of the strategic planning process for your feedback.

This weekend we will host Fr Pepping, two staff members and 24 students in the Annual Sports and Debating Competition.
