Scholarship Program

St Thomas Aquinas College scholarships provide opportunities for students who are enthusiastic to learn and reach their full potential while contributing to College life. The College Scholarship program seeks to provide opportunities for students who otherwise may not be able to start, or continue, their education at the College.

The College offers a limited number of scholarships each year in the following areas:

  • Academic Excellence
  • General Excellence

Scholarships are offered for current and non current students. All Scholarships are offered from the year of the award until completion of Year 12, subject to satisfactory progress. Student progress is assessed on an ongoing basis and formally reviewed at the end of Year 6 and Year 9. Scholarship students will be assigned a mentor to support their learning journey at the School.

Scholarships are offered on merit to students, with the number and value of scholarships determined by the applicants’ ability to meet or exceed the scholarship criteria and the availability of places. Scholarships are awarded between 25 – 75 per cent reduction in tuition fees for the duration of the student’s time at the College.

Academic Excellence

Awarded to students with a proven record of exceptional academic achievement in three or more disciplines, consistent achievement in other disciplines, and the potential to continue to achieve outstanding academic results.

General Excellence Scholarship

This might include a combination of some of the following: consistent academic achievement, sporting prowess, musical ability, school leadership, extra-curricular pursuits and community involvement.

All Scholarship recipients must:

  • Commit fully to all aspects of their studies;
  • Display virtuous behaviour at all times;

You may apply for financial assistance as part of your scholarship application.
