This week we explore the second of three Theological Virtues. This week’s virtue is Hope which enables one to desire God above all things and to trust Him for personal salvation.

A thought from Archbishop Lefebvre

It is imperative then to return to the traditions of the Church, to the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass of all times, to the Sacraments of all times, and to the adoration and love of our Lord Jesus Christ who is the only way to salvation.

Congratulations to Daniel Freriks who competed in the Victorian State Athletics Finals for Shot Put and Discus on Monday and finished 7th and 8th, a wonderful achievement. We wish our Year 4 – 6 Athletics team all the best as they compete in the School Sport Victoria Regional Division Championship today.

Congratulations to Laurence Ockerse and Christiane Ryan who were presented yesterday as College Captains for 2024. They will be well supported by Sebastian Fahey and Victoria Stevenage as College Vice Captains.

Earlier in the Semester, the College Executive presented the Strategic Intent Statements for our 2024 – 2027 Strategic Plan. These statements have been framed by the theme of ‘Together’ – Where one or two are gathered in my name, there I am with them Mathew 18.20.

This Friday 20th October, in our Community Engagement Session we will consult with parents on the strategies the College will implement to achieve the statements. This will be undertaken through exploring the concept of an ‘investment’ which is an act of devoting time, effort, or energy to a particular undertaking with the expectation of a worthwhile result. I look forward to seeing many of you at the session which will commence at 9.00am.

The second Partnering with Parents conference will take place next Tuesday 24th October 7.30pm at Corpus Christi Church. The conference topic will be Domestic Discipline which will again be led by Fr Stephens and run for 45 minutes followed by a ‘Chat over Cheese and a Whine over Wine’. For further information please contact the College.

A reminder about the upcoming Parents and Friends Dinner Auction. The Dinner Auction will be held on Saturday 18th November at the Pakenham Racecourse. Ticket sales conclude on the evening of Sunday 22nd October Tickets can be purchased via www.trybooking.com/CKMKN
