Throughout the Bosco Learning Centre, our Boys encounter purposefully designed learning experiences that are delivered through the lens of our traditional Catholic faith.
Our social and emotional learning framework, BRIE underpins our efforts in learning and teaching in the Bosco Learning Center, as we strive to develop Balanced, Resilient, Insightful and Empathetic young men, of great virtue.
The College is guided by the Australian Curriculum Year 7 – 10 which provides an excellent framework for monitoring student growth in learning.
As part of our commitment to ensuring that every boy feels known, heard and understood, their learning program is differentiated to compliment their individual needs and ensure that every boy develops the necessary skills and knowledge needed to experience success and prepare them for the challenges of VCE.
To ensure each boy maintains a positive learning trajectory, our assessment practices are designed to support their growth by providing feedback that is targeted towards building upon their strengths and developing an understanding of how to overcome the challenges they encounter.
Learning a language enhances the formation of a student. Throughout their educational journey, our boys are afforded the opportunity to study Latin or French and can continue studying their languages during their VCE.
The Bosco Learning Center is an environment where our boys broaden their understanding of the Cardinal and Theological Virtues, supported by positive educators and mentors. In this all-boys environment, our boys develop Temperance, Fortitude and Prudence which ensures that they act justly and have a strong foundation to prepare them for any path ahead.
As an independent school, we are proud to have created a learning environment that is true to our traditional Catholic faith and vision of the College.
