this excursion will now be held on 13th June 2008.

P&F MEETING:
Our next meeting is on Monday Night. The following meeting will not be until August due to school holidays so all parents are encouraged to join us on Monday 2nd June at 7.30pm. We are also still looking for a new president for the P&F. Please give the idea some consideration over the weekend and then feel free to put your hand up on Monday evening. Fr Delsorte will consider all those interested and then make a decision as to who will be the new president.

PUBLIC HOLIDAY:
Parents and students are reminded that Monday 9th June is a Public Holiday. There will be no school on that day.

MS Readathon Reading Relay starts June 1
20 students from St Thomas Aquinas College school will be reading for the MS Readathon this June. It is not too late for other children to register and help change the lives of people living with multiple sclerosis (MS).

Students can ask friends or family to sponsor them for their reading from June 1 – June 30 which includes current classroom and home reading texts. The fastest way to register is online at www.msreadathon.org.au with the help of Mum or Dad.

Good luck to those who have registered and don’t forget to collect your sponsorship. You can return your funds in July to receive your certificate and reading rewards.

For more information, visit www.msreadathon.org.au or call the State/Territory office on 1300 677 323.

ROSARY:
Everyone is invited to join the recitation of the daily (except Thursday and Sunday) Rosary in the College Chapel at 5.30pm. We resume on Monday 2nd of June. The intentions are recommended by Bishop Fellay.

CONGRATULATIONS
To Evelyn S. who was the first female Victorian school student to complete the “Ride2School Programme” 500km challenge. Evelyn will be receiving a special medal to commemorate her wonderful achievement. Well done Evelyn.
General news

DINNER AUCTION NEWS:
ATTENTION TO ALL THE CHILDREN ATTENDING THE SCHOOL!
We now have available letters of introduction for those students willing to collect items from shops. We would really appreciate the aid of children especially living Drouin, Longwarry, Bunyip and Garfield. Letters are available from the office. The more successful the Dinner Auction is, the more money we have to spend on improvements for the College.

ST GERARD LEAGUE:
Please remember that Food Friday is the First Friday of June (6th June). As usual I rely on your generosity to fill my empty larder in order to supply those needy families in our parish. Thankyou and God Bless. Jillian Robinson.
